Travel - New Fad Unveiled by Dutch Travel Agency
People
can take a holiday living like a tramp under Parisian bridges.
A Dutch travel agency
is offering the trip for world-weary travellers who've seen it and done
it all.
They will have to
leave money and credit cards behind, dress down and find their own bedding.
They must also be prepared to go without food for two days if they can't
raise the cash to pay for it.
The idea came from
Bart Jansens, manager of Kamstra Travel BV in Eemshaven. He says he
lived like a tramp under the bridges when he went to Paris as a student.
He arranges for
people to be driven to Paris and informs the authorities of their presence
to prevent them being arrested.
They can spend a
night in a hotel after two days on the streets.
Mr Jansens said:
"They will not be totally on their own. They will be accompanied
by people who know the neighbourhood well so they will not victimised."
He also offers the
trip to companies as a team-building exercise.
