Hires Comedian To Relax Passengers
IRELAND -
EasyJet has hired a comedian to help passengers relax in the wake of
the US terror attacks.
Irish comic John Linehan tells jokes and even dresses
up as a woman on the 40-minute flight from Glasgow to Belfast.
A spokesman for the firm says the idea has had "a
great response" from passengers.
Travel health expert Dr Jonathan Cossar, of Glasgow
University, said: "Laughter is very therapeutic and this is a forward-thinking
way of relaxing passengers."
But one Glasgow businessman who used the service told
the Daily Record: "I'm not amused. I use the flight to prepare
notes for an important meeting. You can't concentrate with a comedian
trying to make you laugh."
