Hunter's dog adopts honey-loving bear cub

A hunter's pet dog has adopted a bear cub after he found it abandoned in woods near his home.

Daniel Fiko says the three-month-old cub spends most of his time with German Shepherd, Lea.

He feeds the cub - which he's named Forrest Gump - on apples, carrots, milk and honey.

Forrest Gump is the hunter's favourite film.

Mr Fiko, from Lunca de Sus in Harghita county, told the National newspaper: "They eat and play together in the courtyard.

"The bear likes apples and carrots but I also feed him milk three times a day. He likes honey very much and uses a spoon for it."

The bear will stay in the hunter's home until spring when he will be given to rangers who will return him to his in natural environment.
