An Italian couple are travelling the world on a scooter to spread
the message of peace.
Fabio and Christina Donati believe the tour will give them an insight
into the lives of people across the globe.
They hope to make contacts in every country they visit and then
invite them all to a peace conference in Italy.
Fabio, 48, a forest ranger, and Christina, 50, a yoga teacher,
packed just clothes and a map for their journey.
They have already travelled through Italy, Albania, Greece, Turkey,
Iran, and Pakistan, and have just entered India from the Punjab.
Fabio told the Indian Express: "Every country is different
and has a face and beauty of its own. Unless we believe in this,
we will simply end up fighting with each other."
The couple, both members of the Peace University of Roverto in
Italy, plan to travel six months in a year and aim to complete the
world tour in three years.
In the first leg, they will visit Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan,
Nepal and end the first phase in Kolkata in India.
The next phase will start in March next year when they will be
travelling to Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Argentina, Indonesia,
New Zealand and Australia.
The third phase will start again in September, travelling through
South America and North America.
