A Louisiana headteacher has kept her promise
to jump out of a plane after her students' marks improved.
Althea Self promised to do the 10,000ft jump
if pupils at Jeanerette Elementary improved their exam marks.
The children beat targets education officials
had set and their head teacher completed a 45-second free-fall.
Her skydiving instructor, who was buckled to
her, pulled the parachute cord and they successfully completed
the jump.
