Gulliver the cat turns up after six years

A cat called Gulliver that disappeared from its Michigan home six years ago has just returned.

Gulliver left his Northport home in 1996. His owner moved to Iowa in the meantime.

The cat reappeared in his old street and the owner's sister is now taking Gulliver to Iowa for the reunion.

She has given him a flea bath and a vet has given him a check-up.

Sheri Sutherland says Gulliver ran away while she was looking after him for her sister.

The sisters put up 'Missing Cat' posters all over town but didn't hear anything.

She identified the cat from scars from an operation.
