A tourist who visited a church and found it on fire used holy water
to douse the flames.
The German holidaymaker has been credited with saving the Austrian
chapel from being destroyed.
The fire in the Church of Hittisau in the Vorarlberg region was
said to have been started by two children, aged six and nine.
Officials say they set fire to an altar cloth, a wooden lectern,
around 60 candles and a rubbish bin.
The German man extinguished the fire with holy water before firemen
arrived on the scene. No one was hurt in the incident.
