A Lottery millionaire left his fortune to charity and nothing to
the friend who lent him the money to buy the ticket.
Phil Kitchen originally planned to leave his jackpot to his dog
but later changed his mind.
His friend Bob Walker is now facing eviction from the 17th century
house they shared.
Mr Kitchen, from Redditch, Worcestershire, drank himself to death
and left his money to 23 charities.
Mr Walker told the Evening Mail: "I never saw a penny of the
Lottery winnings, even though it was me who gave him a fiver to
buy some cigarettes and the ticket that won the money."
Mr Walker said his friend had planned to leave everything to their
three-and-a-half year old pet dog Rex. The British Legion, animal
trusts and children's charities are among those to benefit.
Mr Walker added: "I found him dead and even arranged the funeral
and now the world has come crashing down me and I am back on the
road again.
"I was his next of kin because he had nobody and he has left
me nothing."
Mr Walker has been told to quit the property within three months.
