Sesame Street is to tackle issues related to the September 11 attacks.
The first episode deals with Elmo's fears after he witnesses a
fire that breaks out in a cafe.
He has to be comforted by real-life firefighters.
It will be shown as part of the new series of the children's show
which begins in the US on February 4.
Other episodes tackle subjects such as diversity and tolerance
and the loss of a loved one.
Producers decided to create a handful of episodes that responded
to the September 11 attacks, despite having already written the
scripts for the 50-episode series, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The new series will also feature a guest appearance from United
Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan.
