won't be better tomorrow than we were today, then what do we need
tomorrow for?"

comments: "It is so easy to let fear
take over and to react in a negative way....but let us pause and think
WHY this has happened and what we can do by simply changing our fear
to love and view each other as we would like the world to be like
tomorrow for everyone...May love in your heart show us the way to
a safer and more loving world."
Caroline Browne, St. Thomas, VI US
comments: "PEACE: For all the People
who have suffered the atrocities heaped on them by those who believe
that they are superior based on their Race, their belief in GOD and/or
the pleasure they get from dehumanizing those that do not fit into
their definition of what a human being is, Peace be unto you. For
Earth Mother who has seen her children mature only to throw away all
that nurtured them by upsetting the delicate balance of Nature when
they pollute the air they breathe, the water they drink, the food
that is consumed and their disregard for the spirit that gave them
life, we need Peace. For the Echoes of those who came before and without
them we would not be here today, but in ignorance we block out their
voices that urge us to seek a higher path of Enlightenment that will
lead Humankind into the future, they whisper Peace. For
the Acceptance of those we do not know, but judge to be different
based on what we individually perceive to be and to realize that outside
appearances and/or personal beliefs cannot be used as a summation
of who a person is or we will never have Peace. For the Common thread
that has survived since the beginning of time which has been woven
into what we call Life and makes us realize that no matter the race,
belief or culture we are one People and the things that make us different,
make us special and lead to Peace. For the End of Greed which signals
the ending of the exploitation of our natural resources, the termination
of divisions such as the haves and the have nots and the close on
the Age of Self. Let there be Peace. In order for us to survive as
a species, Everything must be done for the betterment of the World
in which we live or else we shall all perish and our achievements
would be for naught. The starting point must begin with each one of
us, PEACE."

world has lost enough lives."

comments: Violence breeds violence, it always has and always
will. It's time for humanity to grow up and do something different.
A. Smith, Carson City, NV USA
comments: Violence begets violence - can we be big enuf as
a nation to stop this here and now and let love be the guiding beacon?
Patty Simon, Lahaina, HI USA
comments: Let's pray for forgiveness and understanding. There
has to be a way to forgo this power struggle.

comments: "This is a chance to rise from the ashes like
the phoenix and start anew. Make your choices from the power of love
and forgiveness and let this be the time to heal our planet and move
to another level of awareness! "
Anna Beaudry, Burnaby, BC Canada
comments: I believe that whoever was involved in the creation
and the implementation of the attacks on September 11, 2001 should
be held accountable to the extent that they become present to the
personal impact of their actions. Please, do not respond by inflicting
further violence but rather resolve this issue through communication.
Alan McInnes, Surrey, BC, Canada
comments: An eye for an eye only leaves everyone blind. There
is no security for anyone unless there is security for all. Surely
we have learned something from the conflicts in Ireland, the Mid-East,
the Balkans and more!
Mickie Connell
comments: My heart goes out to all of those who had to endure
this horrible tragedy.
Rebekah Ekberg, San Francisco, CA, USA
comments: While I understand the need for protection, it MUST
be understood, in a rational fasion, that acts of like kind (in this
case, violence and terrorism) only lead to more of the same. War in
the name of God (heaven forbid), is still war. If we are to become
"evolved" citizens of the PLANET, we need to learn how to
find more constructive ways of dealing with violence (and each other)than
by responding with the same. If not, we then become exactly the thing
we supposedly deplore...
T. Dion
comments: I have been watching the tragedy on television today
and I strongly feel that the people in this world have a voice as
to how this matter should be handled, which is not to be fed with
anger. Lets look at the bigger picture, how we have handled retaliation
of any kind among ourselves rather than finding compromise and a mutual
way of handling our differences.
THis planet is a small place where 6 billion people must share it
and anything that occurs in any part of the world affects all of us.
Lets deal with this situation with a greater sense of understanding.

and violence.

and join eachother helping in any way we can to help the unfortunate
in this terrible situation!

comments: There has been enough bloodshed...we must find peace
in ourselves and then go forth...compassion and forgiveness for ourselves
and others! Namaste

that it is not over. i implore the Gov. not to let what happened today
to happen tomorrow. We need to stay on the alert.

creates hate; peace creates peace.

comments: It is so important to focus on a
positive solution, on peace, not on retaliating with violence.I don't
know the appropriate answer for this time of crisis, sadness and loss.
It is important that we truly understand the motivation and minds
of those who planned and carried out these acts of violence--and it
is equally important that we do not BECOME like them.
