About Shannon Hart

Shannon assumed the role of caregiver at an early age – having alcoholic parents and being exposed to physical, emotional, and sexual abuse, she has overcome significant trauma and has experience with many forms of healing. This led to a natural affinity to nurture others. A registered nurse for 13 years, she understands the stress and overwhelm that accompany a demanding career. She is passionate about educating her clients to heal and empower themselves to create better boundaries and a more balanced life.

A graduate from Merja Sumiloff’s Integration Mentor Program, a certified Mental Health in the Workplace Mentor, and a Reiki Practitioner, she has used these skills to make profound improvements in her professional and personal life. Her vision is to create an  environment where people have the tools to make effective changes, both professionally and personally.

Shannon also loves to write, is an avid traveller, and a self-proclaimed music nerd.

11 Things About Shannon …

  1. What was your first moment of ‘beyond 3d normal awakening’? It is hard to say, as I have always “known” there was more to life than this body. I would have to say my first ayahuasca ceremony helped me open up and realize how we are living in a spiritual world, and that is meant to be a game of life, not a prison sentence!
  2. Who is your favourite teacher, book and movie? There are so many spiritual teachers that I admire! I would have to say (although she may not see herself as such) Elizabeth Gilbert, as I love how authentically she lives her life, and she isn’t afraid to show the raw parts of herself with the world. For a book…again, so many! Conversations with God by Neale Donald Walsch was a true game changer for me, and I ascribe to live my life to those principles. Movie…I am a sucker for a romantic comedy, so I have to say Love Actually.
  3. What’s the strangest experience you’ve ever had? I have had several! But I would have to say my strangest experience happened when I was on vacation. I have a strong Irish background, and I was staying in a hotel by the sea in Cork. I have had mystical experiences before with the help of plant medicine, but this was completely without the aid of such tools. I was journalling, and all of a sudden had an epiphany, which sent me into a very intense feeling of joy, out of proportion to what I had written down. It was if my soul was waiting for me to figure this out, and when I did, fireworks! The intense feeling of joy caused a cascading reaction where I was fully immersed in a psychedelic experience (without the psychedelics!), complete with visions, I spoke with my parents who have both passed away, and I got more clarity around my career and purpose. Not a bad vacation!
  4. What’s one interesting thing we do not know about you yet? I got bit by the travel bug! I have travelled through many parts of the world, mostly solo. The feeling of having nothing but a backpack and yourself and the Earth to explore has been super empowering – and amazing! I often don’t plan much apart from the plane ticket, and see where my intuition takes me! It’s been pretty amazing some of the things that have happened by travelling this way.
  5. What do you feel your true life purpose to be? I am a healer. There is no question in my mind about that. I am passionate about helping people empower themselves to live their best life. I feel I do my healing work through many different vectors, including energy healing, coaching, writing, and now, through radio!
  6. What’s your favourite animal? I have always been obsessed with whales. As a little girl I wanted to be a marine biologist, and as an adult I had the amazing opportunity to swim with them. They are so calm, so loving, and so nurturing. Being near them is a powerful experience.
  7. What’s your favourite consciousness or energy ‘exercise’ that helps you stay connected, grounded and ‘tuned in’ in a good way? Other than meditating, I do tai chi/qi gong classes several times a week. This has been super grounding for me – I never took to yoga, and when I found this modality I felt amazing after the very first class – I’ve been hooked.
  8. What’s your favourite music / song / musical artist? Music is a passion of mine – I love pretty much everything! If pressed to narrow it down, I would have to say indie music is my favorite right now (although I’m a sucker for some 80s cheesy rock!). I especially love Future Islands – the lead singer sings with such passion, you can feel it to your core.
  9. What’s your favourite food? I love my carbs – pizza, pasta, bread…yum!
  10. What excites your creative juices? I love discussing empowerment. I love how women have been slowly leading this movement to shift the paradigm on Earth. I love all things relating to healing, food, crystals, plant medicine, energy work…you name it!
  11. What’s the one thing you’d like to “shamelessly self promote” here today? I am running a special this month – if you sign up for 3 sessions with me, you get the 4th for free! I offer coaching, energy healing, and a mixture of the two.
