Talk Show Host's Search for Twin Revived by Results of On Air Seance November 13, 2oo4

Vancouver -- -A talk show host's search for what may be an identical twin is back on as a result of a live broadcast of a seance. News for the Soul Host Nicole Whitney was surprised by the conclusion of the last on-air seance event - November 13, 2oo4 - when her secret 'lost twin' story was revealed, She has since decided to re-launch a search for the person she was allegedly separated from at birth.

"Whether it turns out this is my identical twin or someone else, I know it no longer matters," said NFTS founder and host Nicole Whitney. "Because I know that way too many synchronistic and bizarre things have happened for me to not notice. It is very obvious to me now that I am supposed to connect with this person, no matter what."

Whitney plans to post pictures and information publicly, contact other members of the media, and host another seance on the show. The next live seance will be aired on Thursday December 2nd, 2oo4, at 8pm pst, globally webcast at www.newsforthesoul.com/live.htm.

Okay. Here's the story . . .

A WARD OF CHILDRENS AID AT BIRTH & LATER ADOPTED: I was born in Toronto Ontario Canada and given up for adoption at birth. I was told by my adoptive mother that I had repeatedly said there was "two of me" while growing up, although that wasn't something I consciously recalled later in life.

FINDING THE POSTER: In the mid 80s, I was a professional bass player touring Canada full time. I was going to be in a small town called Campbell River on Vancouver Island where one of my adoptive cousins lived, and worked as a union organizer. While in town, I decided to meet him at his office for lunch. At his office the receptionist directed me to wait. As I entered the waiting room, I looked around for something to read and suddenly had this "wierd feeling" behind me. I turned around and was hit by a wave of indescribable weak knee-nausea that was overwhelming. I was staring back at myself from the wall. I have seen pictures that might resemble me but this was far different. It was something ... coming at me through the eyes. I actually find it quite difficult to focus on, even today.

Anyway, the picture on the wall was a huge poster of a Nuclear Free Zone Demonstration in Toronto Ontario being proudly displayed there. As it turned out, my adoptive cousin was quite happy that someone else in the family was politically motivated, thinking of course that was indeed me in the poster. But what he didn't know was, although the poster was indeed from Toronto Ontario where I was born, I've never been back since the age of three. Ever.

SEARCHES LEAD TO NOWHERE: So. Now I had the poster and a couple of the puzzle pieces. I completed the obvious searches. The group that coordinated the demonstration - the Canadian Peace Congress in Toronto - did not know who she was. The photographer they hired to take the photo also did not know. The Childrens Aid Society denied ever having separated twins back then (1962). This is their official story but my research indicated that not to be true, having found other twins who were separated but nothing showed on their official records. I also did not have a positive or useful experience with reunion attempts with any other birth family members via Childrens Aid. Thus, going the official route for reunion proved fruitless. So I gave up. I buried the story and ended the 'search'.

PSYCHICS REVIVE THE STORY: In the late 90s, I was working as a columnist/reporter on a paranormal Halloween series for the Tricity News. I had invited a team of psychic mediums in various modalities to get together for a halloween event, taking them into an allegedly haunted venue to see what they "sensed". It was then that the 'twin thing' resurfaced. None of the mediums had ever met me, or each other before that meeting as far as I knew, and they certainly had no way of knowing about the 'twin thing'. But as I was conducting the event meeting, several of the psychics there kept interjecting with remarks like "oh, you're a twin!" and "where is your twin". So. the twin situation gurgled to the surface again. This time I decided to re-open the investigation, this time using other means. I let some of the other bigger media know about what had just happened, in hopes that they too were looking for a unique Halloween story. CTV National TV News said they wanted to do it! But, when they were actually on their way over to interview me, there was a 'breaking salmon industry story' and they were rerouted to cover that.

NOTE FROM NICOLE: Although there is a startling resemblance between the poster twin and my appearance in earlier years, I've posted the best photos of my own that depict the resemblance from later on, although I'm still looking for photos from my early 20s / late teens (very hard to find) and will post more if they are found.

I thought for a while the pic of your twin on the site was a competition to guess it was your twin and didn't click it on. Tonight I did because that face I know!

There is no doubt in my mind that she is your twin and that I have seen
her. I do not want to raise false hopes but I lived in Toronto for ten years
and go there often and hang out with a few musicians but I might know that face
from Salt Spring Island where I used to live.

I also taught High School  in Toronto in the 70s and even at an alternative school.
Just the sort of place you'd find a Nicole twin I reckon.

I will put some energy into this as I go to sleep and see what comes.

Comments from Nicole: Wow - impressive indeed, Mervo! And it is quite possible you are hot on the trail... I don't know if it is because that's where 'we' were born or if it is because that is where she was last seen (in the poster) but if someone asked me where I 'feel' she is, it would be Toronto ... so keep an eye out for 'me' !!!
