"We
collected some extraordinary audio just after going in,"
explained News for the Soul (CFUN 1410 am) radio show
host Nicole Whitney. "We really didn't expect to
get much in the way of data during this initial one hour
walk through, so were we ever surprised! We even had a
group sighting of a 'wispy orb' thing in a downstairs
corridor that we believe may have been also caught on
camera. But it's
the sounds that were really significant."
So,
is the Vogue Theatre in Vancouver haunted? The Oracle
says ... yes!
But
don't take his word for it. See for yourself!
NEW!
Dec 2oo4 - Nicole
returned to the Vogue Theatre as part of the VOC Soul
Gospel choir to perform in the 2oo4 Christmas season.
And although she kept a low profile about paranormal investigations
& allegations of hauntings, the ghosts had other plans...
Below
are 2 pictures taken at the Vogue just prior to the Choir's
performance. In the first photo, several of the soloists
in the 150-strong gospel choir pose for a picture. Nicole
was standing nearby, idly wondering 'gee I wonder what
they'd think if they knew they were standing at the busiest
end of what Vogue staffers call ''ghost highway''.
In
the first picture, there
appears to be no orbs present (although upon closer inspection
you will find at least one or two) and in the 2nd photo,
the orbs are hard to miss! In the 3rd picture we've
highlighted all the orbs visible with the naked human
eye offline, as some detail is lost in publication over
the internet.

Dear
Nicole
Thanks so much for last night. It was an amazing evening.
I was able to see the actor in the balcony. I was wondering
if we might have been helpful to him by being his audience.
I'd like to think we helped him move on. Fanciful, maybe.
I also an orb in the basement. .................... I found
David to be lovely, gentle and safe. I trusted him and he
made a possibly scary event into just a fun natural adventure.
And I was amazed and delighted to be shown how to "see"
Thanks again, Nicole

Hi
Nicole;
That
was an interesting evening, your friend David is a real
find, as is Leonard (Eagle Cloud) ! We really enjoyed ourselves.
I took pictures with my digi cam last night. I was uploading
them this morning and I did find a suspect one. It was at
the beginning of the evening. I was just shooting the stage
with no flash to see how it would come out and I got this
one....I know it isn't david as he was wearing black.......spooky!
Here's a "suspect photo " -->

And
here is the feedback of the experience ...
While
david was talking on stage i repeatedly saw shapes flickering
both misty and shadow in the upper rafters behind him to
the left (stage right). during the walk about i felt something
in the downstairs hallway off the dressing rooms. when we
went upstairs i felt a gentleman sitting in the top back
seats at the left just before entering the stairway to the
projection booth. david was in front of me and i stopped
to take a photo of the place he was sitting. david asked
if i saw anything, i said i felt him, he confirmed that
a spirit was there. all in all it definitely was an interesting
night!
thanks...

Hi
Nicole;
Thanks
for a thrilling night last night nicole and dave.
As requested a few feelings from the event:
i didnt see so much auras as i did feel presences
1. upper section
walking upto the projection room from the left stairway
(looking from the stage), moving from the ground to the
first floor, just at the top of the stairs as we entered
the balcony.
there seemed like someone welcomed or ushered us there,
and he seemed comfortable in the seating section direclty
above that balcony entrance.
not sure if he worked there or was a frequent customer?
2. basement:
corridor by the noticeboard and the production room (formally
a carpenters room?)
there seemed to be a distinct coolness and a slight breeze.
i felt drawn to the notice on the notice board with the
theatres rules on it.
i felt he was reading it or wanted us to to follow procedure
while there.
definitely a past worker, perhaps a supervisor.
i felt it strange that the basement was warm but more importantly,
very clean and free of any cobwebs, insects or vermin, dustless,
even in the hidden areas where people don't go.
3. curtained/exit area to side of stage (left, facing stage)
although this wasn't an area we were directed to i, found
it screaming with feeling and emotion.
it was the only place where there was smell and dankness.
i was not sure if i was the feeling of buildup of emotion
of all the past actors who waited there before entering
onto stage or if it was one or two strong spirits, but it
was powerful.
this could have been a very frightened woman, possibly nothing
to do with a performance.
4. front of stage by right exit door (facing stage)
i has a sense there was a man watching david as he presented
before our tour.
there was an aura in front of the red curtains.
perhaps the actor waiting for his turn to perform for us....i
don't know which one he was once we moved around.
let us know what others had to say.

David,
I
was at the Vogue Theatre last night(Feb.23/04) learning
how to see
ghosts. Although I never saw any, I certainly felt them.
I look forward to
spending more time learning from you. Thank-you for an enlightened
evening!

'Mornin'
David - I will confess that I came to the Vogue last night
prepared to be underwhelmed and left as a convert. I thought
the entire session was handled fabulously from every perspective
and was quite delighted at the bit of psychic progress that
I managed to make in just a short time.
There is no question, of course, that having my sense of
someone 2 rows behind me confirmed, helped convince me in
a big way! I hope that my tourguide services were useful
- I tried my best to a) stay underpresent and b) keep everyone
safe.
Now, just whipping through the sites in the theatre - of
course you nailed the downstage left location (right in
the aud area) - that is exactly where the mid-performance
apparition occurred in '95. And it didn't surprise me, of
all people, that the hallway beneath yielded such strong
sensations for Leonard and Nicole, that is as I put it,
the theatre's 'ghost highway'.
I wish I'd been able to join you up in the proj booth as
that has been another site of considerable activity. I recall
that one or two of the participants saw or felt something
up there - what were your impressions?
Anyway, I'd be interested in the feedback and observations
of the other participants. And you and I probably need to
get together soon as Infinity is always looking for good,
fresh ideas and the paranormal is near the top of our interest
list! All the best,
Bill Allman
