TODAY: Part Two of the LifeLine session on Embracing our Fears as a Pathway to Joy with Nicole.

Today’s Meditation with Prem:
MEDITATION FOR A CALM HEART – Kundalini yoga meditation as taught by Yogi Bhajan Sit comfortable with spine straight – either on the floor in easy crossed legged position on a chair. Place your left hard on your heart so that your fingers are straight and parallel to the floor. With your elbow tucked in, place your right hand up by your shoulder as if you were about to take an oath. Place your hand in gyan mudra – first finger slightly tucked into the thumb, rest of the fingers straight up towards the ceiling. Eyes are closed and focused at the brow point. Inhale easily through the nose, beginning with filling the belly and moving up the body and then gently hold the breath until it must be released and exhale completely through nose, beginning at the top of the chest and moving down the body until the belly empties and hold the breath out – again for as long as comfortable and repeat. I will play a powerful chant – Guru Guru Wahe Guru Guru Ram Das Guru song by Snatam Kaur while we continue for 2 minutes. It is a beautiful Ashtang Mantra, meaning that it has 8 parts. The first part – the first 4 words – Guru Guru Wahe Guru, project your own infinite power out to the universe and 2nd part brings the Infinite energy and wisdom inside. “Gu” means darkness and “Ru” means the light, Guru is the one which takes us from darkness to light. Breathing in – holding as long as you can, breathing out – holding as long as you can. This meditation brings peace and calm into your heart and helps you to act with a calm and loving heart.
