Asha’s Healing with Asha

Asha’s Healing on the 2nd & 4th Wednesdays of the month at 2pm pacific starting Feb. 12th, 2025!

Hello, I’m Asha Carolyn Young. Born in Thailand to American parents, I’ve lived in California all my adult life. My background as an energy healer includes decades of meditation and study of alternative and spiritual healing.

I am a certified Quantum-Touch practitioner and I also make use of several other kinds of healing modalities.

Energy Healing Sessions:

During sessions, I intuitively integrate modalities to direct life force energy, love and light through my hands, breath, heart field, toning, wonderment, and focused consideration.

Over a span of about 30 years, I have studied and practiced various approaches to healing — healing with Light, channeling, laying-on-of-hands (as taught by the late Joseph Martinez, San Francisco), and The Wonder Method. I am currently a member of Wellness on the Coast, alternative healers in the “Mendonoma” region and Gualala, CA, where I live.

My experience includes meditation, yoga, channeling, reading a wide range of spiritual and metaphysical books, and association with many kinds of energy healers and spiritualists.

I hold a B.A. in history (University of California, Los Angeles) and M.A. in Cultural Anthropology (University of California, Berkeley). As a PhD student in Cultural Anthropology, my focus was “comparative religion;” and my thesis, “Thai Buddhist Nuns.”

Professionally, I’ve been a teacher and writer and have also taken on many kinds of day jobs. I taught all levels of English-as-Second-Language in Berkeley and Oakland public schools, as well as privately, one-on-one, via my own English business in the San Francisco Bay Area. I’ve worked as a freelance editor and writer; and I have written and self-published three art-related books. For pleasure, I especially enjoy plein air and abstract painting.

Born in Chiang Mai, Thailand to American parents, I grew up going to Protestant and Baptist churches with my parents, and to Buddhist temples with my Thai nanny, giving me early exposure to the many ways people worship. Miraculous encounters with fortune tellers, spirit guides, and spiritual teachers have sprinkled my life, leading me always to the Light. For these experiences, I am humbly grateful.

Energy Healing Sessions:

Energy healing supports the healing of a wide array of ailments — physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. It also supports the well-being of people undergoing surgery or on western medicine regimes.

As an energy healer, I merely serve as a conduit, bringing energy and love. It is your Inner Healer — together with the Divine Consciousness, or Universal Intelligence, as you may call It – that transforms your body, mind, and spirit so you experience greater well-being.

After receiving an energy healing session, you may have continuing healing results in your body, mind, emotions, and spirit for several days. Be sure to drink plenty of water to assist the process.

11 Things About Asha …

What was your first moment of ‘beyond 3d normal awakening’?

I was about 24 and had returned to Thailand, where I was born, to do research on Thai Buddhist
nuns. While walking around an open-air market, I encountered a beggar who called out to me, “I
know you.” He proceeded to tell me things no one could ever have known without some kind of
“other worldly” connection. This was just the beginning of amazing phenomenon I began to
encounter.

2. Who is your favourite teacher, book and movie?

I would say my favourite teacher was Hari E. Thomas, whom I had honor to know for about 18
years. He was my bosom buddy, painting colleague, brother, father, and guru. Since he was a
high vibrational, spiritually aware person, he taught me so very much. After he passed on, I
wrote and compiled a book about him and his paintings, Carry Your Own Joy: The Life and
Abstract Paintings of Hari E. Thomas.

My favourite book is various versions of the Buddha’s teachings, along with all of Sanaya
Roman and Louise Hay’s books on spirituality and health.

My favourite movie is “Wings of Desire,” a most wonderful film – spiritual, mystical, and
romantic — by Wim Wenders.

3. What’s the strangest experience you’ve ever had?

While I was staying at a Buddhist monastery for nuns in northern Thailand as a graduate student
of cultural anthropology (preparing to do fieldwork), I experienced levitation while doing
walking meditation. The levitation only lasted four or five seconds, but it had a profound impact
on me and preceded huge changes in my life toward a more spiritual path.

4. What’s one interesting thing we do not know about you yet?

I’ve been a fine art painter for many decades, enjoying very loose abstract painting as well as
plein air landscape painting. Because I understand the creative process well, I enjoy helping
people to get moving with regard to their own creativity, especially as part of a healing routine.
The experience of intense focus and joy during and after creating something is, by itself, always
very healing to body, mind, and spirit.

5. What do you feel your true life purpose to be?

My true life purpose is to share joy, love, and healing, inspiring people to raise their own
vibrations so as to experience increased well-being and happiness. Offering energy healing
sessions and classes enables me to carry out my life purpose.

6. What’s your favourite animal?

I’m a cat fan, for sure! I love all animals, but those silly cats charm me the most.

7. What’s your favourite consciousness or energy ‘exercise’ that helps you stay
connected, grounded and ‘tuned in’ in a good way?

Meditation, yoga, “rainbow shower of light” cleansings, and channeling my spirit guide are my
favourite energy “exercises.” Taking walks and sitting outside in nature also always help me get
grounded.

8. What’s your favourite music / song / musical artist?

Too many favourites to name one! I’m especially fond of Brazilian music (for example, Joao
Gilberto), and I cherish the music I grew up with in the ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80s.

9. What’s your favourite food?

I love lots of different kinds of food! Thai, Chinese, East Indian, Middle Eastern, Mediterranean,
French, etc. And I also regularly enjoy plain old steamed veggies and tofu over rice with some
soy or Thai fish sauce and hot sauce.

10. What excites your creative juices?

I get inspired creatively by listening to beautiful music, reflecting on loving connections,
dreaming about color combinations, and feeling balanced and healthy. Having a big block of free
time is especially exciting!

11. What’s the one thing you’d like to “shamelessly self promote” here today?

Together with my spirit guide and angel friends, I have helped many people and animals to move
themselves away from physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual pain toward greater well-being.
Many of these healings have been quite profound, and I’m honored to have helped facilitate
them. (Remember: the receiver of energy healing is the “real” healer; since their Inner Healer
takes care of matters.)
