Digital Dojo with Colleen & Dana

The Digital Dojo with Collen & Dana on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 6pm pst starting September 10/25

Colleen & Dana are passionate problem solvers with a unique ability to uncover the meanings and patterns behind peoples’ actions and choices in their lives.

Their combined expertise and complementary backgrounds make them a dynamic force in helping individuals, couples, families, and companies evolve, heal, and thrive.

Dana, with his background in martial arts and coaching, developed The Black Belt Mind, a technique that applies simple, actionable choices to all aspects of life. Colleen, a TCM Practitioner who is passionate about trauma healing, created Your Integral Medicine and NAP, the New Agreement Process, blending science, emotion, and spirituality to guide healing and personal transformation.

Having co-owned a dojo and healing clinic for years, their work deepened when they began working with clients together. Their strong listening and communication skills and seamless teamwork have made them sought-after presenters and consultants.

They are continually inspired by the courage and vulnerability their clients bring, and are excited to reach more people through this show!

About Colleen Robinson

Colleen’s background and practice as a practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine has allowed her time to focus on pattern recognition, individuality, and the interconnectedness of body, mind, and spirit.

Her work with “energy medicine” techniques and the creation of YIM: Your Integral Medicine has given her insight into how much capacity people have, how complex they are, and how much goodness they have.

Her work with Dana and his all-embracing compass and personal guidance system of The Black Belt Mind has allowed her to recognize each person’s innate sense of knowingness and capacity to truly walk the path of being a better person every day, every choice, every moment.

About Dana Pemberton

Dana’s background is as a problem-solver and pattern-finder. His martial arts training began before he entered school, and has never stopped.

His work with athletes transferred quickly to working with executives who needed to bring out the best in themselves, and from there to helping companies deal with change management, communication issues, and personal empowerment.

Dana’s work stays relevant not only with corporations but also with couples, families, and anyone looking to create the best version of themselves. He has an almost uncanny ability to sift through the often overwhelming aspects of the issues that people are facing, and pinpoint the most critical areas to work with for rapid change.

Together, Colleen and Dana bring complementary skill sets to classes, group work, and presentations. Their years of working side by side allow them to focus on the things that are important to them with clients: safety, communication, ease, and progress.

11 Things About Colleen & Dana:

  • What was your first moment of ‘beyond 3d normal awakening’?

Dana: I slid down a hill on a sled, out of control, and ended up under a running car, pinned under the exhaust pipe, unable to move. I should have panicked, but I just knew that if I stayed quiet and still enough, I’d be ok and the driver would know I was there. He came out of his house, got in the car, and put it into gear to drive away, then stopped, got out, and checked under the car. There was no reason for him to look under the car, but he did, found me, and pulled me out. The scar on my cheek from the hot exhaust pipe healed perfectly.

Colleen: I was 5 and having very vivid dreams. I told my parents I hadn’t been sleeping well because of the man who would stand in our room at night before climbing up into the attic (there were no stairs to the attic, so I told them he must have been very tall). My mom, laughing, went into the bathroom show me that the attic trapdoor was closed, then called my father in a tight voice: the trapdoor had been slid to the side. Nobody was up there, and my parents never found a way to explain it.

  • 2. Who is your favourite teacher, book and movie?

Dana: Favourite teacher – Kung Fu Bob, a martial artist who was one of the first people to teach me about real martial arts fighting.  Book – A Prayer for Owen Meany. Movie – Star Wars, but also too many to mention.

Colleen: Favourite teacher – my parents, who were literally both teachers. I got lucky with the ways they showed me how to interact with the world. Book – All books are my favourite books. Books are some of the best things created in this world! Movie – The Princess Bride

  • 3. What’s the strangest experience you’ve ever had?

Dana: Too many to count!

Colleen: Ditto!

  • 4. What’s one interesting thing we do not know about you yet?

Dana: I’m a professional musician.

Colleen: I was brought up in small First Nations communities in Northern Ontario and Northern Quebec. The only way in or out was to fly (or drive in over the ice roads once the lakes froze).

  • 5. What do you feel your true life purpose to be?

Dana: To experience and to express joy.

Colleen: I believe that true healing happens in the present moment, but also reaches forward and backward in time. The more we rewrite our own stories, histories, and hurts, the more we heal everyone around us. Finding ways to heal ‘in all directions’ is a big part of my purpose.

  • 6. What’s your favourite animal?

Dana: Horses

Colleen: Dolphins

  • 7. What’s your favourite consciousness or energy ‘exercise’ that helps you stay connected, grounded and ‘tuned in’ in a good way?

Dana: Drumming

Colleen: Listening. The more you listen to everything and everyone, the more you hear the connections.

  • 8. What’s your favourite music / song / musical artist?

Dana: Too many to name! Bob Marley is at the top of the list, though.

Colleen: Dana 🙂

  • 9. What’s your favourite food?

Dana: Prime rib.

Colleen: Any veggie fresh from the garden! Especially the ones people don’t realize (like beet leaves) or carrot tops for pesto.

  • 10. What excites your creative juices?

Dana: Writing, playing, and listening to music.

Colleen: Quiet, and nature – in those moments, I feel like I can think clearly and put things on paper in ways I normally have to work hard to do.

  • 11. What’s the one thing you’d like to “shamelessly self promote” here today?

We’re so proud of everything on our website, thedigitaldojo.net, and from the 1 minute videos for the multi-week classes, we’re excited when we find more like-minded people to come together.
