This is the moment blind man Larry Hester, 66, emerges from 33 years of darkness to see once again.
Larry had been blind for half his life from a condition called retinitis pigmentosa.
In September, an electronic stimulator was surgically implanted in his left eye at the Duke Eye Centre, North Carolina.
Earlier this month, Duke eye surgeon Dr Paul Hahn turned it on for the first time.
