Legally Blind 9 year Old Helped Secure $1 million for her cause

Paloma Rambana is 9 and legally blind. She lobbied the Florida legislature and led a rally to the Florida Capitol from the Department of Education to raise awareness for the need to fully fund her age group (6-13 year olds did not receive funding although 0-5 and 14+ did).

Her efforts helped secure $1,000,000 ($500,000 of which will recur every year). She’s not done, though. She’s going to continue to work hard. Her goal is to secure $8,000,000 so that all 900+ children registered with the Division of Blind Services get the funding they need to succeed.
